About Us

In 1998, after working for over 10 years in the commercial and residential landscape industry, Chris Weir established Garden Concepts as a landscape design and landscape contracting company. Located between Newtown and Doylestown in Bucks County, PA, Garden Concepts services all of southeastern Pennsylvania.

All client interviews and landscape designs are done by the owner, Chris Weir. All installation work is supervised and installed by Chris, his employees, and associates. Chris grew up in Newtown, Bucks County, PA, and graduated from Council Rock High School. He is a graduate of Temple University, a certified member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers, and has over 25 years experience in the landscape design-build industry. Projects include the design and installation of complete landscapes — from natural stone and paver walks and walls — to plantings and lighting.

While hardscape elements such as walks, patios and walls are usually perceived as long term or permanent, we believe your plantings should also have this long term permanence. At Garden Concepts, we believe that the landscaping around your home and property should improve with age, and that plant selection and spacing are two of the most important factors of the design process. Too many Bucks County landscapes are removed after 5-10 years because of over-growing their intended space, blocking windows, hanging over walks and dominating instead of accenting the architecture of your home.

Landscaping around your home and property involves many personal preferences and decisions. While our professional experience gives us the qualifications to make recommendations for your landscape project, we also listen, and will incorporate your preferences into your project.
